Potentilla sulfurea Lam.

Flora Europaea where the taxon is considered a synonym of Potentilla recta L.

A species with pale yellow flowers and leaves similar to Potentilla erecta. It replaces it in most of the Mediterranean regions but is considered currently by many as a synonym of the widespread Potentilla recta hence its range is not well known. Despite this current opinion sulfurea constantly differs in many aspects from recta. In Romania, though not included in any known flora books edited until now it must be present in southern Dobrudja.

Pictures taken from outside Romania, at Capul Caliacra, Bulgaria, 14th of August 2010.
